NEWS FLASH! Diecast Masters Spielwarenmesse 2017

Diecast Masters will be present with a booth at the International Toy Fair aka Spielwarenmesse held from wednesday, February 1 to February 6, 2017, in Nuremberg, Germany.

Diecast Masters shall during the Toy Fair reveal their line up with the new Masters Diecast scale models for 2017. In addition to the previously announced models the Caterpillar 994K Wheel Loader (in two versions) and of course the Caterpillar D10T2 Track-Type Tractor will be shown for the first time to the collectors.

SPOTLIGHT! Caterpillar Comic books

During 1950's Caterpillar Co., Peoria, Illinois distributed through her dealer network "Operators and Maintenance Handbooks" in a Semi-comic book format. These comic books where in fact instructional publications by Caterpillar intended for adult customers using Caterpillar equipment. Most of them where released in English, 32 pages, full color, 8.25-in. x 10.5-in. and printed on semi-slick paper.

In the Mini Movers - Caterpillar Scale Model Group on Facebook we have create a special photo album to share our Caterpillar Comic books.

Besides that we are very curious and want to find out how many Caterpillar comics books are actually published by Caterpillar. Do you have one that is not listed in our Facebook photo album "Caterpillar Comic books" please let us know.

NEWS FLASH! CCM Models & Mods Ad Gevers

Classic Construction Models (CCM) produces limited-edition all-brass museum-quality and diecast scale models. In their newest Blog series, “Models & Mods” CCM places the spotlight on the modifications done to their models at home by collectors.

NEWS FLASH! Modelshow Europe 2017

Have you already scheduled this day in your diary? Saturday, March 18th, 2017 the 26st Modelshow Europe will be held in the flowerauction "Plantion" nearby the city Ede in the Netherlands. Mark your calendars and make your reservations. It will be a BLAST!

On this special exhibition one can once again see all kinds of miniatures and model construction projects in the field of earthmoving, cranes and heavy transport. This Modelshow Europe exhibition is unique by its grand design and the only one in Europe.


Many collectors and builders show on the Modelshow Europe their (rebuilt and/or radio controlled) models. Also a wide range of miniatures and related components for the model are offered for sale.

Ad Gevers staffed with Richard van der Horst, Anton Monshouwer, Huub van Dijke (Bouwmachinesvantoen and Bouwmachinesvannu), Gertjan Veld & Jack Schrijen again have a joint stand. Mini Movers together with some members of our "CSVT" group from home and abroad, including photographer Thomas Wilk from TCC Photowork, are during the Modelshow Europe present in and around our booth.

LATEST ADDITION! Caterpillar D10 [CCM 1:48]

Last week I received from Roy Ferguson Sales in America this latest addition in my collection made by Classic Construction Models (CCM) and today I was able to take it to the photo set:

• Caterpillar D10 Track-Type Tractor with Push Blade

This die-cast scale model Caterpillar D10 Track-Type Tractor with Push Blade is equipped with twin exhaust stacks and made in a limited edition of only 400 pieces in 2016 by CCM in scale 1:48 The scale model is packaged in a deluxe gift box and comes with a signed certificate. I'm the happy collector with in possession #153.

All aspects of the Caterpillar D10 Twin stack Track-Type Tractor are modelled to the usual level of CCM's exacting detail, including hydraulic lines, opening cab, and the modified engine compartment with off course both twin exhaust stacks on top which are the most eye catching differents with the Caterpillar D10 Push Blade version CCM released in 2009. Retail Price: $249.95 and shipping cost.

My first impression: a very complete scale model a nice addition in my Caterpillar D10 Track-Type Tractors series. More than well worth the wait! This is a must have for every Caterpillar collector.

UPDATE! The making of...a Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader

The Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader is a "one of a kind" custom scale model. Ad used for this project a "spare" Caterpillar 272C Skid Steer Loader which has been released by Classic Construction Models in a limited edition of only 200 pieces. The model is hand crafted from brass in 1:48th scale.

Ad modified the Wheeled Skid Steer Loader version into a Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader version and added (as he always does -)) tons of extra details including a scratch built Caterpillar BR172 Brushcutter.

In the "Making of...a Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader" we show you how this custom model has been achieved.

Today I have added the fifth and final update of the "The making of ..." This episode Ad his many pictures shows the final steps in making of a unique model of the Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader.
