NEWS FLASH! TDK 2016

The Dutch Technische Kontakt Dagen (TKD) is held from may 26th - may 28th 2016 in Almere (Kievitsweg), The Netherlands and brings large and small players of earth moving-, reclycling equipment and related specialties together. The visitor of the TKD gets to see a wide range of equipment and services.

The exhibitors will be given a unique opportunity to show and demonstrate their equipment and services to thousands of interested people from the market.
An outdoor area of 10 ha and a demo track/course for active demonstrations of equipment and services make the TKD to a unique outdoor exhibition. There is a separate demo track/course for trucks and dumpers.

As a visitor often you can also, under guidance, try the machine. A unique change to take place behind the steering wheel (or joystick)!

NEWS FLASH! EBIANUM Digger Museum & Events

The Eberhard EBIANUM doubles as a construction vehicle museum and a unique venue for all kinds of events.

On Thursday may 5th 2016 the EBIANUM Digger Museum celebrates its one year anniversary with the opening of a permanent and huge scale model exhibition. You are welcome that day between 10:00 to 17:00 to admire for the first time the more than three thousand different models from the private collection of the Eberhard family.

In addition, the doors from the EBIANUM Digger Museum are open to the public each Saturdays and Sundays and holidays from 10:00 to 17:00. On the free Wednesday afternoon EBIANUM is open from 13:30 to 17:00. The entrance to the "moving experience for young and old" in EBIANUM is not for free, but well worth the entrance fee.

UPDATE! The making of...a Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader

The Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader is a "one of a kind" custom scale model. Ad used for this project a "spare" Caterpillar 272C Skid Steer Loader which has been released by Classic Construction Models in a limited edition of only 200 pieces. The model is hand crafted from brass in 1:48th scale.

Ad modified the Wheeled Skid Steer Loader version into a Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader version and added (as he always does -)) tons of extra details including a scratch built Caterpillar BR172 Brushcutter.

It is our goal for the coming period in the "Making of...a Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader" to show you how this custom model has been achieved.
Ad will share his building skills through its construction photos with little notes to guide us through his progress. Gradually it shows the making of a unique model of the Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader.

Today I have added the fourth update of the "The making of ..." This episode Ad his many pictures show you the building of the scratch made Caterpillar BR172 Brushcutter.

OUT SOON! BAGGERMODELLE 3-2016

The latest edition of BAGGERMODELLE will be out soon! The magazine presses are running while you are reading this. The Magazine will be available half way March 2016.

In this issue, among other interesting articles, a special about the Caterpillar 335F Hydraulic Excavator which will be released soon from Diecast Masters in their diecast "High Line Series" in 1:50th scale.

Les Miniatures du Faubourg (MDF) from France has announced to release in 2016 a new unique resin scale model in 1:50th scale

• Caterpillar 350 Hydraulic Excavator

The developement of the master Caterpillar 350 Hydraulic Excavator was revealed saturday, March 19th 2016, during the Modelshow Europe 2016 held in Ede, The Netherlands. Updates, photos, dimensional details, price, numbers and the delivery schedule date will be posted on our Website when available.

This next knock out model will be available in very limited numbers and made only on request for the collectors.

With the custom scale model of the Caterpillar 350 Hydraulic Excavator in 1:50th finally after waiting for many years a big hole in my showcase will be filled in. Next to the Caterpillar 375 (Joal) is the line up of the Caterpillar Hydraulic Excavators a bit more complete and I was very pleased that I was allowed to shot the first serie exclusive photos.

Saturday, March 19, 2016 the 25st Modelshow Europe was held in the flowerauction "Plantion" nearby the city Ede in the Netherlands.

On this special exhibition one could see all kinds of miniatures and model construction projects in the field of earthmoving, cranes and heavy transport. This Modelshow Europe exhibition is unique by its grand design and the only one in Europe.


Many collectors and builders showed on the Modelshow Europe their (rebuilt and/or radio controlled) models. Also a wide range of miniatures and related components for the modeller where offered for sale.

This year was the first time that IMC Models was present with a booth at the Modelshow Europa 2016.

The team of IMC Models was present to reveal the latest IMC Models releases and the new Caterpillar scale model line up made by Diecast Masters.

NEWS FLASH! HIGRO 2016

HIGRO is Dutch and stands for HIstorisch GROndverzet which can be translated to "Historical Earthmoving" and is a anually held Event in Bant (Noord-Oostpolder), The Netherlands.

It is a unique Event of historical earthmoving equipment. You can not only see classic and oldtimer earthmoving machinery up close but actually watch them while in action! This year there will once again present the necessary Caterpillar machines. Your chance to shoot great action shots.

This year the Event is held at 5, 6 and 7 may 2016. The location: Zandexploitatie "Schoterveld". The adress: Schoterpad, Bant (A6 exit 15 Emmeloord), The Netherlands.

UPDATE! Modelshow Europe 2016

Zaterdag 19 maart 2016 vond de 25e Modelshow Europe in de bloemenveiling van Plantion te Ede plaats.

Op deze speciale tentoonstelling kon men allerlei miniaturen en modelbouwprojecten zien, op het gebied van grondverzet, hijskranen en zwaar transport. Deze Modelshow Europe tentoonstelling is door haar grootse opzet uniek en de enige in Europa.

Vele verzamelaars en bouwers toonden op de Modelshow Europe hun (verbouwde en/of radiografisch bestuurbare) modellen. Ook was er weer een enorm aanbod van miniaturen en gerelateerde onderdelen voor de modelbouw welke te koop aangeboden werden.

Gertjan Veld bemande samen met Thomas Wilk, Ad Gevers, Richard van der Horst, Anton Monshouwer, Huub van Dijke (Bouwmachinesvantoen en Bouwmachinesvannu), Jack Schrijen weer een gezamenlijke stand. MiniMovers tezamen met een aantal leden van onze "CSVT" groep uit binnen- en buitenland was tijdens de Modelshow Europe gedurende de dag in en rondom onze stand aanwezig.

Gertjan bracht ook dit jaar weer een aantal unieke custom gebouwde Caterpillar schaalmodellen mee naar de Modelshow Europe 2016.

Speciaal is dat Gertjan daarnaast ook elk jaar weer kans ziet om zijn modellen nog eens extra goed tot hun recht te laten komen op de mini diorama’s waarop hij zijn modellen presenteert.

Thomas Wilk [abc] staffed with Ad Gevers, Richard van der Horst, Anton Monshouwer, Huub van Dijke (Bouwmachinesvantoen and Bouwmachinesvannu), Gertjan Veld & Jack Schrijen again had a joint stand. Mini Movers together with some members of our "CSVT" group from home and abroad also was present during Modelshow Europe in and around the booth.

Thomas Wilk showed us this year his custom built Caterpillar D6K Welding Track-Type Tractor which was displayed in a unique dioroma with some personal stories and history embedded. But that is for later because...

...the good news is that Thomas will share the story behind this custom Caterpillar D6K Welding Track-Type Tractor and the realization of this unique project in a "Making of..." which will start soon. So stay tuned in for more!
