What about the latest project from Chuck Sword: The FORD F250 Pickup Truck that will be released by SWORD MODELS later this year in a number of versions and colors. Fact is we had to wait a bit longer then expected but now its going to happen!

With the assistance of an anonymous photographer (Thanks Michelle S.!) I can already today a series of exclusive photos of this knock-out model to share with you! The Ford F250 Pickup Truck will fit perfectly as a service truck within your (Caterpillar) construction machinery collection.

ANNOUNCEMENT! Caterpillar 651B & 657B [CCM 1:48]

CCM has announced to release three new scale models in their 1:48 diecast series:

• Caterpillar 651B Wheel Tractor-Scraper

• Caterpillar 657B Wheel Tractor-Scraper

• Caterpillar 657B Wheel Tractor-Scraper with 666B Coal Bowl

The 657B Wheel Tractor-Scraper will be go up to 800 pieces single run production. (Good news for the collectors like me who want to have a Push & Pull set). The Caterpillar 651B Wheel Tractor-Scraper is made in a limited edition of only 651(!) pieces and the Caterpillar 657B Wheel Tractor-Scraper with 666B Coal Bowl will be even more limited at 500 models.

All three Scrapers will be made in precision 1:48 scale and will be just over 12.5” long, 3.5” wide, and nearly 3.5” tall. Over 50 individually die-cast parts make up each model, accurately replicating these legendary machines. These models will be packaged in a collector’s box and include an individually serial-numbered machine specifications brochure to certify authenticity.

Further progress photos, final retail pricing and the delivery schedule from these three scale models will be posted when available.

The Caterpillar 350 Hydraulic Excavator was introduced during the Modelshow Europe 2016 held in Ede, The Netherlands and I'm very pleased that today I can finally share with you the first exclusive photos of the first built custom scale model.

This next knock out model will be available in very limited numbers and made only on request for the collectors.

With the custom scale model of the Caterpillar 350 Hydraulic Excavator in 1:50th finally after waiting for many years a big hole in my showcase will be filled in. Next to the Caterpillar 375 (Joal) is the line up of the Caterpillar Hydraulic Excavators a bit more complete. Sales price is 270,- Euro and shipping cost. This knock out model of the Caterpillar PL61 Pipelayer will be available in very limited numbers. The donor model is the Caterpillar D6K Track-Type Tractor released by Norscot. More then 30 casted metall pieces are added to transform this model into this unique custom Pipelayer. At this moment the finishing touch to the master are made and from a reliable source I have heard that there are some additional features added to the model to be supplied by cADSttachments.

Laster&Bagger will be released in 2017 as the new name for Baggermodelle THE full color magazine for collectors of Trucks (Laster) & construction (Bagger) machine models, cranes and heavy haulage. The magazine is writen in German. Detailed English translations of the main sections and features for every issue are available on the website.

This means that from the first Laster&Bagger issue in January 2017 alongside the existing sections there will be also extra space for Trucks: So, more content and more to enjoy reading!

LATEST ADDITION! Caterpillar 245ME [CCM 1:48]

Last week I received from Roy Ferguson Sales in America this latest addition in my collection made by Classic Construction Models (CCM) and today I was able to take it to the photo set:

• Caterpillar 245ME (Mass Excavator) Hydraulic Excavator

This die-cast scale model Caterpillar 245ME (Mass Excavator) Hydraulic Excavator is made in a limited edition of only 395 pieces in 2016 by CCM in scale 1:48 The scale model is packaged in a deluxe gift box and comes with a signed certificate. I'm the happy collector with in possession #293.

The legacy of the Caterpillar 245 lives on in this 1:48 scale die-cast replica of the Mass Excavator version of this bygone machine. It is equipped with the ME boom and stick and individually linked, narrow gauge tracks complete with spring tensioners in the track frames. Each model is crafted with a working stick and boom, positionable bucket, detailed hydraulic lines, accurate handrails and steps and a fully detailed engine accessible through opening doors. Perforated covers over the engine compartment add to the realism of the model and period correct paint and markings are the finishing touch.Retail Price: $274.99 and shipping cost.

My first impression: a very complete scale model a nice addition in my Caterpillar 245 Hydraulic Excavator series. More than well worth the wait! This is a must have for every Caterpillar collector.

LATEST ADDITION! Caterpillar 390F L [Diecast Masters 1:50]

Past week I recieved from the IMC Models Construction models Webshop this first addition from Diecast Masters in my collection and today I had some time and took it to the photo set:

• Caterpillar 390F L Hydraulic Excavator #85284

My first impression: Welcome addition to my 390 series Hydraulic Excavators collection, but in my opinion a die-cast scale model made by Diecast Masters which could have been executed better with just a little bit more attention to detail and choice of material. I'm convinced that they can do much better.
