NEWS FLASH! HIGRO 2016

HIGRO is Dutch and stands for HIstorisch GROndverzet which can be translated to "Historical Earthmoving" and is a anually held Event in Bant (Noord-Oostpolder), The Netherlands.

It is a unique Event of historical earthmoving equipment. You can not only see classic and oldtimer earthmoving machinery up close but actually watch them while in action! This year there will once again present the necessary Caterpillar machines. Your chance to shoot great action shots.

This year the Event is held at 5, 6 and 7 may 2016. The location: Zandexploitatie "Schoterveld". The adress: Schoterpad, Bant (A6 exit 15 Emmeloord), The Netherlands.

NEWS FLASH! Bauma 2016

The Bauma [abc] is held every three years in Germany and is the largest International Trade Fair for construction vehicles, Cranes, Earthmoving and Construction in Europe. In addition to the new machines in 1:1 are also often and at the same time the new expected little brothers presented in scale 1:50.

In 2016 the 31th Bauma takes place from April 11-17th in Muchen. Off course with the presence of Caterpillar. Thanks to Anton & Huub and the cooperation from Klaas de Vries I can already share some new pictures of the prototype Caterpillar M318F Wheel Excavator which will be released this summer by Diecast Masters in their 1:50th scale diecast "High Line Series".

UPDATE! Modelshow Europe 2016

Zaterdag 19 maart 2016 vond de 25e Modelshow Europe in de bloemenveiling van Plantion te Ede plaats.

Op deze speciale tentoonstelling kon men allerlei miniaturen en modelbouwprojecten zien, op het gebied van grondverzet, hijskranen en zwaar transport. Deze Modelshow Europe tentoonstelling is door haar grootse opzet uniek en de enige in Europa.

Vele verzamelaars en bouwers toonden op de Modelshow Europe hun (verbouwde en/of radiografisch bestuurbare) modellen. Ook was er weer een enorm aanbod van miniaturen en gerelateerde onderdelen voor de modelbouw welke te koop aangeboden werden.

Gertjan Veld bemande samen met Thomas Wilk, Ad Gevers, Richard van der Horst, Anton Monshouwer, Huub van Dijke (Bouwmachinesvantoen en Bouwmachinesvannu), Jack Schrijen weer een gezamenlijke stand. MiniMovers tezamen met een aantal leden van onze "CSVT" groep uit binnen- en buitenland was tijdens de Modelshow Europe gedurende de dag in en rondom onze stand aanwezig.

Gertjan bracht ook dit jaar weer een aantal unieke custom gebouwde Caterpillar schaalmodellen mee naar de Modelshow Europe 2016.

Speciaal is dat Gertjan daarnaast ook elk jaar weer kans ziet om zijn modellen nog eens extra goed tot hun recht te laten komen op de mini diorama’s waarop hij zijn modellen presenteert.

UPDATE! Modelshow Europe 2016

Saturday, March 19, 2016 the 25st Modelshow Europe was held in the flowerauction "Plantion" nearby the city Ede in the Netherlands.

On this special exhibition one could see all kinds of miniatures and model construction projects in the field of earthmoving, cranes and heavy transport. This Modelshow Europe exhibition is unique by its grand design and the only one in Europe.


Many collectors and builders showed on the Modelshow Europe their (rebuilt and/or radio controlled) models. Also a wide range of miniatures and related components for the modeller where offered for sale.

Thomas Wilk [abc] staffed with Ad Gevers, Richard van der Horst, Anton Monshouwer, Huub van Dijke (Bouwmachinesvantoen and Bouwmachinesvannu), Gertjan Veld & Jack Schrijen again had a joint stand. Mini Movers together with some members of our "CSVT" group from home and abroad also was present during Modelshow Europe in and around the booth.

Thomas Wilk showed us this year his custom built Caterpillar D6K Welding Track-Type Tractor which was displayed in a unique dioroma with some personal stories and history embedded. But that is for later because...

...the good news is that Thomas will share the story behind this custom Caterpillar D6K Welding Track-Type Tractor and the realization of this unique project in a "Making of..." which will start soon. So stay tuned in for more!

Ad Gevers staffed with Richard van der Horst, Anton Monshouwer, Huub van Dijke (Bouwmachinesvantoen and Bouwmachinesvannu), Gertjan Veld & Jack Schrijen again had a joint stand. Mini Movers together with some members of our "CSVT" group from home and abroad, including photographer Thomas Wilk from TCC Photowork, also was present during Modelshow Europe in and around the booth.

Ad Gevers showed us this year, three unique projects: His Caterpillar D9R DOOBI Track-Type Tractor which he built based on the kit in scale 1:48 of CypModels and his Caterpillar D8T Track-Type Tractor with WDA CARON DSU dozerblade & CARON SWS Tracks in 1:50 on the basis of the Norscot D8T and three exclusive cADSttachments kits.
And as the biggest surprise he brought along the scale model of the Caterpillar 836G CARON Compactor exclusively in this design which as a promotional gift has been built in a very limited number for the Caron Compactor Company from America and never was available for sale.
